While the rest of the world is steaming ahead for IPv6 adoption the great nation of the peoples republic of China have announced broadly in one of their national newspapers that the country are in the deployment phase of IPv9. Cursed, NetCores old fanaticaly never-dying server will finally end its journey as a active server today at aproximately 1500 hours CEST when I myself will do the final keystrokes on the ssh-session. I expect to shed some tears as the shutdown begin. It’s been five years of rock stable everlasting service. I wish it didnt have to end this way.. but then again, there’s always the bright side.. we now got sparkle.
