The summer months of late June and July always make me wonder if there will be anything to do at all. Firstly there is work, then there is the organizations I am a member of, third there is the bunch of friends I am so used to have around all the time. It’s all twisted in the summer, and none of them seem normal. At work I have been doing a lot of phonecalls and End-User-Support lately, but that have now suddenly changed, and the think-tank mentality are back wich makes it possible for me to think about new ideas, create nice piles of work documentaiton etc, BUT, the spark of the bunch seem to be out. We work, eat lunch, work, go home. No mas.
TLUG have gone into a crawl, as most of the people that are members now have strolled off into the sunset as school is out. I can in some way agree tho. It’d be fun to go away for a long month without computers, but I can not possibly imagine being in town, without wanting to meet up with some geeks and do some serious Geeky stuff like a TLUG-BBQ, (wich was very nice by the way) or perhaps a little computerparty of some kind?. NetCore have managed t get Sparkle alive and running so everything have settled there too. The dust have fallen back to the ground and all services are working just.. perfectly. HSFT have taken a summer holiday until NTNU reopens in August. Just to make things even better the SPIST-mailinglist have died completely after my two monsterposts about autumn projects like the tour to schools to talk about Linux and a ALL-Linux-computerparty.
In other news, I have decided to go for bikerides 5 out of seven days this week. I went last sunday too, so currently we’re at these numbers (aprox.): Sunday, 20 km’s; Monday: 25 km’s; Wednesday 20 km’s. Today I’ll try to make it a bit longer, but first I have to clean some at home, since Morten T(Knoter) is showing up on my doorstep on friday afternoon.
Yesterday was also Andreas L’s birthday, but since he could not come to the BBQ I was hoping I only made a brief phonecall with him and said congrats that way. I hope he has time to get darn drunk on Saturday as I am planning to throw a little party before a night out on town 🙂 (If you read this, please tell me if you got time, that includes everyone who may want to come:).
